Working on behalf of the German Government, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GIZ GmbH is a service provider in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development and international education work, dedicated to shaping a future worth living around the world.GIZ's main commissioning party is Germany's Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development BMZ. GIZ Egypt currently employs around 355 national and 35 international experts.

The NSWMP/ EU Green project offers to enhance NGO’s capacities to access grants to implement a climate-friendly solid waste management and circular economy innovative project ideas. The NSWMP/ EU Green project also provide advisory services to NGOs during implementation.
